Wendie Malick stars in "Just Shoot Me." A 1999 Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominee for her performance in the series, Malick also garnered four CableACE Awards as Best Actress in a Comedy Series for the role of socialite Judith Tupper Stone in the comedy series "Dream On."
In 1999, Malick received critical acclaim for her dual roles as famous advice columnists Abigail Van Buren and Ann Landers in the TV movie "Take My Advice: The Ann and Abby Story." Her other television series work includes starring roles in "Trauma Center" and "Good Company," recurring roles on "NYPD Blue," "Anything But Love," "Baywatch" and "Kate & Allie." She also starred in the television movies "Paper Dolls," "Dynasty: The Miniseries," "Apollo II," "Perfect Body" and "North Shore Fish," in a role she originated on stage.
Recently honored by Women in Film as "A Woman of Vision," along with Tipper Gore and Roseanne, Malick devotes much of her time to charitable organizations. She is on the board of directors of the Environmental Media Association (EMA), and through their charitable gift fund "A Drop in the Bucket," she and husband Richard Erickson support a medical center in Congo and share an ongoing commitment to an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico. |
