Lea Thompson currently stars on Lifetime's "For the People." She is a former ballerina who began her acting career as a Burger King ad staple. Perhaps best known for her role as Lorraine Baines McFly in the "Back to the Future" trilogy, Thompson has appeared in hits such as "All the Right Moves" with Tom Cruise, "Some Kind of Wonderful," "Red Dawn" and "Space Camp." TV audiences may also remember Thompson as cartoonist Caroline Duffy in the successful comedy "Caroline in the City," for which she received a People's Choice Award and a TV Guide Award. In addition to her TV and film work, Thompson has performed in more than 40 ballet performances and has appeared in numerous stage productions, including "Bus Stop" at the Pasadena Playhouse, Tony Kushner's "The Illusion" at the Los Angeles Theater Center, "The Vagina Monologues" and "I 2000." She also played Sally Bowles in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical "Cabaret." Thompson lives in Los Angeles with her husband, film director Howard Deutch, and their two daughters, Zoey and Madeline.
