Kiko Ellsworth

"Quite simply, these are the best darn earlobe ornaments I've ever had! YES!."

Kiko Ellsworth marked a major achievement in Summer 2003 by jumping from soap star to motion picture actor, playing one of the lead villains in the highly anticipated sequel Bad Boys 2, which stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Currently, Kiko can be seen on ABC's hit daytime drama Port Charles as Jamal Woods. He also has just finished shooting an independent feature called "Guarding Eddy" where he portrays an NBA basketball player who ends up being mentored by a kid with learning disabilities.

A Los Angeles native, Kiko began acting five years ago. He was soon appearing in national spots for such products as Eggo Waffles, Visa, MCI and Toyota to name a few. Kiko was cast in his first film in 2000, an independent movie entitled All or Nothing directed by Adisa Jones. He landed the role of Xane, a sociopath and violent street thug. This role gave Kiko an outlet for people to see the range of depth and passion that he was capable of bringing to the screen. All or Nothing won the "Jury Award" at the Hollywood Film Festival in 2001.

He followed that with guest-starring roles on ABC television shows such as "Once & Again" and "Wasteland." Kiko's big break came in March of that same year, when he was cast as Jamal Woods, a kid from the wrong side of the tracks, in ABC's hit daytime drama "Port Charles." Kiko loves portraying Jamal and feels that he has developed a character that has really evolved and grown into something that he and his multitude of fans can be proud of.

Kiko also has a profound love and admiration for children, and expresses this through his charity work. He has a deep desire to make a difference in under-privileged children's lives, hoping that his dedication to charity work will inspire and motivate them. He is involved with many youth programs, including Break The Cycle, which teaches children and teenagers about the danger and destruction of domestic violence. In addition Kiko dedicates much time to the Hollywood Knights, a celebrity basketball team which raises money for schools in need.

Kiko is also raising his pre-teen cousin Derick. Kiko enjoys the experience and feels that Derick is teaching him not only how to be a father, but he is teaching him how to be patient and selfless. He is also learning not be so hard on himself when things don't go.
